Founded in 2023 in Paris, AUBJET is a brand built on the enchanting concept of "turning the ordinary into gold." Its name combines the French word "objet" with the periodic symbol for gold (Au), symbolizing the alchemy of transforming everyday items into treasures.

The designer, a graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, now lives and works in Paris. She grew up in a seaside town where her childhood revolved around a corner stationery shop—a treasure trove filled with affordable trinkets, quirky tools, and playful toys. These small wonders, along with beautiful stones collected from the beach and other curious finds, were lovingly stored in a biscuit tin hidden away at her grandmother’s house. This tin became her personal treasure chest, and whenever she had a moment of free time, she would carefully lay out her “gems,” admire them, and cherish them as if they were fine jewelry.

This formative experience has profoundly shaped the designer’s creative vision. Even today, she draws inspiration from the little curiosities found in tiny shops and everyday objects. Influenced by the surrealist whimsy of Luis Buñuel Portolés and the humor and childlike wonder found in the films of Jacques Tati, AUBJET approaches design with a playful heart and a spirit of curiosity.The brand seeks to craft luxurious yet practical objects, including jewelry and trinkets that merge elegance with everyday functionality.
